Bio
Born Namur, Belgium in 1972. Inspired by Jean-Pierre Rampal, at the age of five, she took up the flute. Between 1984 and 1988 she won Ist. Prize as instrumentalist and for music theory and chamber music at the conservatoires of Brussels and Liège. Since then she has worked as a composer, principally for cinema, television and theatre. 2009 saw the release of “België-Belgique » (CCB 1003) , a personal tribute to her homeland and her illustrious compatriots. At the age of 11, she won the popular T.V. competition “Young solists” which propelled her into the limelight as a performer. She went on to win many prestigious competitions, and performed frequently as soloist with orchestra. She then obtained a piano diploma, studied organ and gave up school to pursue her studies at the Brussels Conservatory. As accompanist, she performed in the heartland of “la chanson française”, "Olympia", "Casino de Paris" moving on to explore the worlds of jazz and of rock. Alongside her career as pianist and flautist she studied conducting and began composing for cinema and television. To date, Line Adam has composed several film scores, music for documentaries on ARTE , FRANCE 2, FRANCE 3, and TSR as well as for theatre and dance
