Impressionisme, The Belle Epoque of Art 1870 - 1910 (CEV3010)

Breaking up with the academism at the end of 19th century, artists created a new way of painting by capturing light and movement. Nature and day to day life became their favorite subjects. In 1873, Claude Monet paints "Impression Soleil Levant". A critic stupidly called this new trend "l'Impressionnisme". Paris back in "La Belle Epoque" becomes world capital of art and paintings by Manet, Cézanne, Degas, Pissaro, Sisley, Renoir or Toulouse-Lautrec still reflects this extraordinary creativity. This album presents works by Pierre-André Athané, Philippe Hersant, Marc-Olivier Dupin, Pierre Adenot, Cyrille Aufort, Alain Kremski and Gérard Torikian among others.
